The par-72, Perry Maxwell design stretches to 7,387 yards from the championship tees, boasting 18 holes of scenic splendor and a challenging test for golfers of all skill levels.  Set on the eastern edge of the OU campus, we are ideally located just four miles east of I-35.  Originally designed by Maxwell in 1951, the course underwent a redesign in 1996 by Robert E. Cupp.

Four sets of tees allow our course to be enjoyed by golfers of every skill level. From the OU Golf Team to our diverse student body, and from our loyal alumni to our annual members, countless golfers consider Jimmie Austin their home course.

Offering yearly memberships, daily green fees, tournaments and private outings, Jimmie Austin boasts many amenities including one of the largest driving ranges in the state, renovated short-game practice facility, rental clubs, private instruction, club fitting and our junior golf academy.

All of our golf carts now feature the state-of-the-art V2   GPS system, featuring hole-by-hole flyovers, course yardage, and food and beverage options.

Jimmie Austin underwent an extensive renovation in preparation for the 2009 U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship and is currently the only golf course within 50 miles of the OKC metro area named one of Golfweek’s “Best Courses You Can Play” (2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011).

Our pro shop features a wide array of the latest apparel from manufactures such as Adidas, Fairway & Greene, Greg Norman, Nike, Polo and Tommy Bahama, and is also stocked with a full line of equipment from Callaway, Odyssey, Ping, Taylor Made and Titleist.

Come enjoy a delectable breakfast or lunch in our grill that overlooks the ninth green, also featuring a catering menu that can be customized to your tastes.  Our pavilion, conference room and patio can be reserved to host your next private event, providing an ideal setting at an affordable cost.
